Karissa has over a decade of accounting and payroll experience with career connections to several Durango businesses, including the historic Strater Hotel. Aside from her exceptional payroll knowledge, what makes Karissa such a joy to work with is that she’s a people person. She enjoys making deeper connections with her clients and tackling team projects with her ASAP comrades.

A Denver native, Karissa is happy to follow her husband wherever his job as a wildlife firefighter for the US Forest Service takes him. The couple is now settled in a small town outside St. Louis with their two children. In her spare time, Karissa enjoys exploring state parks with her kiddos with a tradition of capturing an annual photo at one of their favorite park rocks, and relaxing with cross-stitching projects.
